Choosing the machines
Laminators
Our laminating machines include an A3 pouch laminator, a 3 in 1 laminating machine, the V350 laminator and a large format laminator. An A3 pouch laminator covers most counter work, from certificates to A3 notices. A large format laminator makes sense later, if you start protecting posters and larger prints. Ask us to show you the difference in the showroom, and match pouch thickness to the job: thinner for documents that will be filed, thicker for cards and menus that are handled often.
Cutters, creasers and binding
The card cutters, paper cutters and binding machines category is the core of a print shop:
- A4 and A3 paper cutters for straight, clean trimming of stacks of paper.
- Visiting card cutter and automatic visiting card cutter for cutting printed sheets into business cards neatly and consistently.
- Creasing machine for folding cards, invitations and menus without cracking the print.

Badge machines

ID card printing

Build in stages, not all at once
You do not need every machine on day one. A staged plan keeps your starting cost down and lets demand guide what you buy next.
- Stage one, the counter basics: laminator, paper cutter and binding machine, with pouches, covers and binding supplies. These handle the everyday walk-in jobs.
- Stage two, badges: a badge machine with one or two mould sizes and a matching round cutter. Start with one size and add more when customers ask.
- Stage three, cards: ID card printer and PVC card cutter, plus a visiting card cutter and creasing machine if you print business cards and invitations.

How to make button badges, step by step
- Design at the right size. Use the template for your mould size. The printed circle is larger than the finished badge face, because the edge wraps around the back. Ask us for the correct paper size when you buy the mould.
- Print on good-quality paper so colours stay bright under the clear film.
- Cut the circles with the matching 44 mm or 58 mm round cutter. Scissors give uneven edges that show on the finished badge.
- Load the press with the front shell, printed paper and clear film, in the order shown during training.
- Press, then attach the back in the second stage, following the sequence shown during training for your machine.
- Check the first few badges for centring and a tight edge before running the full batch.
Always make one test badge before a school or club order, and get the design approved in writing first.
How to make ID cards
- Collect names, numbers and photos in one spreadsheet, with consistent photo sizes and a plain background.
- Design a card template with fixed places for the photo, name, number and logo. The standard bank-card size is 85.6 × 54 mm; check the size your cutter produces and design to match.
- Send a proof of a few cards to the organiser and check every spelling.
- Print, laminate if needed, and cut with the PVC card cutter.
- Sort cards in the same order as the spreadsheet and tick them off before handing over.
